I added it recently but haven't heard a lot of episodes. It's pretty good so far but occasionally the topic seems to jump around a bit.

I'll be checking out the others. Well, except maybe Planet Money. Not that it's bad though. I know my wife likes the show and it is on her regular listening schedule . But listening about financial stuff too much gives me the heebie jeebies.

dakvid comments on Info Addictions: Podcasts

<dc:subject>games infoaddictions podcasts tech</dc:subject>

I listen to a lot of podcasts as I have a long commute (it halved when I moved last year, which was the only negative about the move). I also listen at double speed - when I have to listen to something at normal speed I often get frustrated at how slow people are to speak. :-)

Interestingly, most of what I listen to are radio programmes packaged as podcasts:
http://daytum.com/dakvid2012podcast
.

You don't mention Digital Campus or the Library Lab Podcast - both of those are good and will probably interest you. You might also like Search Engine (TV Ontario, formerly CBC) and Click (BBC World Service, note there's a TV programme with the same name).

I always listen to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me (NPR), The Moth Podcast, This American Life (Chicago Public Radio) and Friday Night Comedy Podcast (BBC Radio 4). For science news and discussion I quite like Material World (BBC Radio 4) and The Naked Scientists.

Periodically I like to browse the podcast lists of public radio stations to see if there's anything new or interesting:
* NPR
* BBC Radio 4
* BBC World Service
* ABC RN
* CBC
* Radio NZ

I'll try out FLOSS Weekly - it looks good. I tried TWiT once, but it seemed to be a bit long-winded so I didn't bother again. I've heard good things about NPR's Planet Money but haven't got around to trying yet (it sounds dreadful, but the segments they've done on This American Life have been brilliant). And I've just seen the 5 part series Recivilization on CBC - the first episode features Tim Berners-Lee and Leo Laporte.

Cgorman comments on Info Addictions: Podcasts

<dc:subject>games infoaddictions podcasts tech</dc:subject>

I like a bunch of knitting podcasts.
